Some farms have their own fishing waters or lie close to the coast - the perfect chance for you to take your favourite pastime with you on holiday.

These farms offer you the chance to fish in peaceful, private waters, and to clean and freeze the fish you catch. Your hosts can tell you about the rules currently in force and give you helpful tips.
They can also tell you about other good fishing spots and bait and tackle shops, and help you buy the necessary fishing permits. They often have boats, waders, etc. for hire.

Arrangements can be included guided bird-watching/wildlife-spotting and mushroom-gathering expeditions, followed by a meal made from the day's harvest. Your host can also give you information about hiking trails, cycle routes, etc.
Your host will certainly know almost everything there is to know about the region, so you are certain to have an interesting stay. Your host can show you where deer graze, tell you when to listen for the nightingale, suggest interesting activities to match the season, and lend you books about the countryside and binoculars for a closer look.

Green Lifestyle

On a 'Green Lifestyle Holiday' a minimum of resources is used, and waste products are put to other uses. It is possible to have a good time without feeling guilty about the environment.
The farms have a range of facilities that make it possible for guests to cut down on wastage - without ruining their holiday. For example, there are refuse sorting systems and measures to save water and power.
Chemicals and pesticides are never used in the kitchen garden and the courtyard, and only biodegradable products are used for domestic cleaning.
Many places offer organic food - either homegrown or bought from approved outlets.
